Lucas joined Bell Baker in 2023. Prior to joining Bell Baker, Lucas practiced insurance litigation<br /> at another Ottawa firm, and has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants, from large institutional<br /> litigants to small businesses and homeowners. Previously, he practiced criminal law at a Toronto<br /> law firm. He also practices in the area of environmental law.</p> <p>Lucas has experience at every stage of the litigation process, and has litigated motions, trials and<br /> appeals at the Ontario Court of Justice and Ontario Superior Court of Justice, as well as the<br /> License Appeal Tribunal.</p> <p>Lucas takes pride in taking the time to understand his clients’ concerns and priorities, and in<br /> providing advice tailored to their circumstances. Lucas works diligently and efficiently, and<br /> advocates passionately on his clients’ behalf. He understands that clients need to know their legal<br /> risks and the options available to them, and works collaboratively with clients to ensure that they<br /> remain fully informed and engaged in their case.</p> <p>When not litigating, Lucas can usually be found outdoors enjoying Ottawa’s beautiful rivers,<br /> lakes, trails and bike paths with his young family.
